Play First Philosophy

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School initiated the ‘Play First’ Recess and Lunchtime trial at the start of 2018 as a way to seek optimal learning behaviours and learning environments after break times, whilst increasing and improving the food and fluid intake of the students to help fuel their brains. As per the above times, students have 20 minutes of play time and 15 minutes of eating time at both recess and lunch times.
