St Mary’s Celebrates Harmony Day and Diversity 21-Mar-2016

St Mary’s school students, staff and families celebrated Harmony Day this year on Monday 21st March with a fantastic day of activities for our students and families to celebrate the wonderful diversity within our school community. Children and staff came to school dressed in cultural clothing, showcasing the diverse cultures in St Mary’s Catholic school community.

Students in room 5 opened the day with a special cultural song and an Acknowledgement of Country. The performance was followed by a Cultural dress parade displaying the many cultures in our school including African, Indian, Greek and the Phillipines. Cultural activities throughout the day included food tasting, German folk tales, Indian dancing and making peace signs.
