SAPPER TOM FOSTER'S VISIT
We recently had a visit from Sapper Tom Foster, 5 x Invictus Games Gold Medallist. Tom shared his story with us. We think he is resilient, courageous and hard-working. His gold medal was really heavy and we think he is an awesome swimmer. Tom inspired me try harder in my swimming and be more resilient. From listening to Tom, we learned:
‘Even when life gets tough, hope is never gone’ –Rhys Davenport, Year 5
‘Keep striving to achieve your dreams’ – Lucy Braybon, Year 3

As you may know, we have quite a few of our current P&F Members departing Darwin at the end of 2018. We would really love a few new people to come on board! As parents of the school, EVERYONE is part of the P&F but we are looking for some people to put their hands up to be of small working parties for each of the events next year. We don’t need you to help out with everything but if you could commit to one of the events, that would be FANTASTIC. We are also looking for people to take on some specific roles and attend the monthly meetings.
The events currently planned for 2019 are:
Term 1:
Welcome Disco
Easter Raffle
Term 2:
Mother’s Day Stall
Movie Night
Term 3:
Father’s Day Stall
Colour Run
Term 4:
Christmas Raffle
PLEASE let us know where you can help out. If you would like a more specfic role such as Chair, Treasurer or Secretary, please contact Leanne Brennan 0437 925 581

On Tuesday 30th of October we held our "Crazy Sock Day" to raise money for the Catholic Missions Myanamar appeal. It was a delight to see all the crazy and creative sock designs!! Students also enjoyed rocking their socks off at the recess and lunch dance parties and there were many creative sock puppets made during our craft sessions.

As a school we raised over $300 for this cause - thank you all so much for your generosity and support!
Catholic Mission boxes have been sent home, if you would like to donate further to this cause.
Please return the boxes back to school by 30th of November OR directly to Catholic Mission on the details listed on the box.
