Please see the flyer below for the Bunnings BBQ - we would be most appreciative of any helpers to put themselves on a roster for the day! This is a great way to meet other families in the school and support the school. Please contace Kate.
RAFFLE BOOKS were distributed on Monday. They are already selling with great success. For your chance to win, please ensure you have purchased (and returned) your books to the front office. If you would like to grab an extra book, please see Julie at the office or see Ms Clalia Mar.
"> ">Year 5/6 Camp
This week our Year 5/6 students went to Batchelor Outdoor Education Camp to challenge themselves on so many levels. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to strengthen old friendships and build new ones. The camp was also an opportunity to show resilience and this was probably most demonstrated on the high ropes course and in the group activities. So many great memories were created and here are some of them:
Chiara (Yr 6) – I loved the Radio Rogaine activity, especially talking over the walkie-talkie and finding things on the map.
Romela (Yr 6) – Whoever organised the camp has been very helpful and I especially love the rock climbing wall. I used my strength to get up to the top twice!
Rasika (Yr 5) – I loved the bike ride. I haven’t ridden a bike in a while so I got to challenge myself riding a long difference. I found proud of myself for completing it and thank you to Miss Tagan for the encouragement along the way.
Jake (Yr 5) – My favourite thing was making new friendships in our bunk house. Zachary and I talked together, prayed together and it felt safe. We also had pretty good sleeps even though our neighbours were chatty (Messina, Taylah and Lilly).
Mac (Yr 5) – I really enjoyed the high ropes, especially going down the zip-line as I have never done anything like that before. I also liked doing the climbing wall. Even though I didn’t make it to the top, I still had fun!
Callum (Yr 5) – I loved making the catapult because everyone worked as a team. I also loved the high-ropes course because I got to overcome my fear of heights and overall, I had a great time at camp.
Thank you so much to our parent helpers, Jason Cowdrey and Nicky Coleman (much appreciated chef too!) and our staff Miss Val, Miss Tagan, Miss Duncan and Ms Evans. The camp was a great success to the hard work and planning by Miss Tagan and Miss Frankie.
